At Martinsburg Church of God we strive to: Help People See Jesus.

Seek Jesus in worship, devotion, & life so people can see Jesus in us.

Serve Jesus & others by using what we've got, where we are so people can see Jesus through our actions.

Share life with others in meaningful relationships so people can see Jesus around us.

How to Know Jesus and be Saved

Realize God Loves you.

John 3:16 ' For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.'

Realize everyone has sinned by disobeying God.

Romans 3:23 'For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.'

 

Realize that sin has a price that must be paid.

Romans 6:23 'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord'.

Realize Jesus Christ died and rose again to pay the 'wages' or penalty for your sin.

Romans 5:8 'But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.'

 

Believe and ask Jesus to be your Savior.

Pray: Jesus, I know that I am a sinner because I've disobeyed you and I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died to pay the penalty for my sins and now I want to turn away from those sins and follow you. Please forgive me and come into my life. I want to trust you as a Savior and follow you as Lord. Amen.

 

What to do Now?

Talk with your family or friends about your belief in Jesus.

Talk to the pastor or one of the elders about your decision

Begin to learn what it means to be 'saved' and a follower of Jesus.
